Follow the Julio Foolio Homicide Trial — State of Florida v. Alicia Andrews

The Florida trial of Alicia Andrews of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio is now underway in a Tampa courtroom.

According to prosecutors that Andrews acted as a lookout while Charles Jones was in Tampa for his birthday. They claim she kept tabs with others who later trapped the rapper in a Tampa hotel lot.

A group of armed men allegedly shot at Foolio’s vehicle, killing him and injuring three others.

Andrews is charged with capital murder and planning a murder.

Prosecutors have presented cell phone data that they say show her role in the planning. This includes Instagram messages and photos recovered from her phone.

Her defense attorney argues that she had no idea about the murder plan. The defense says she was in Tampa for personal reasons.
